Manage login data and certificate

With this function you can add a new or change an existing mobile telephone number, which can be used for authentification purposes with SMS-TAN.

Note: The stepts to change the mobile telelphone number vary based on whether your ID Austria was registered at a government office or was migrated from a Handy-Signatur.

If you know your current Signatur-password and your user name, you can change your Signature-password here.

Note: If your ID Austria was migrated from Handy-Signatur, the user name is your mobile telephone number.

Verify your ID Austria Signatur certificate and view the following data: Your name, mobile telephone number, certificate type (ID Austria with basic functionalitites or full function), serial number, as well as expiration date.

The validity period of the ID Austria for a person with Austrian citizenship can be extended via this online process. You don't have Austrian citizenship?

An ID Austria with full function is valid for five years from the issue date.
For users who migrated their Handy-Signatur to ID Austria, the validity is determined by the remaining time on the 5-year Handy-Signatur certificate.
An ID Austria with basic functionalities cannot be extended.

You can temporarily disable your ID Austria or permanently revoke it. To do so, use the revokation service.
