I forgot my signature password

If you forgot your signature password, you can reset it.

If you have an active link with the „ID Austria“ App, you can designate a new signature password directly in the app. The one-time password can be delivered electronically and immediately via „Mein Postkorb“. Due to the active link with the app, no signature password is required to retrieve the one-time password from „Mein Postkorb“

I forgot my user name

If you forgot your user name, but have a mobile telephone number associated with your account, you can view your user name by entering the mobile telephone number and your signature password.
If you do not have a mobile telephone number associated with your account, please contact the Service Center.

Note: If your ID Austria was migrated from Handy-Signatur, the user name is your mobile telephone number, which is also associated with your account.

I lost my device, but have another authentification factor (e.g., saved mobile telephone number)

If you lost your mobile phone, but have your mobile telephone number associated  with your account and you have access to text messages (SMS) sent to this device, you can enter your user name and signature password and request a TAN via SMS to link a new device.

Note: If your ID Austria was migrated from Handy-Signatur, the user name is your mobile telephone number, which is also associated with your account.

I lost my device and do not have another authentification factor (e.g., mobile telephone number associated with my account)

If you lost your mobile phone and your mobile telephone number is not linked to your account (e.g., change of phone number, revocation), and you do not have an additional authentification factor (e.g. an active link with the ID Austria“ app or another device that is linked to your ID Austria), a new ID Austria registration is required.
